GAG 25th Anniversary Celebration:
Mike S. reported that as of the return deadline only 16 people had
responded. As we need 30 to meet the minimum, Mike S. proposed the grotto
cancel the formal celebration at Carmines and have an informal celebration
at The Brass Rail. A lively discussion ensued, including having an informal
party at Carmines on the same date. It was agreed to move the celebration
to the Brass Rail, due to the uncertainty of securing seating at Carmines
for a smaller party. Mike S. will call and make a reservation for those who
have responded. The same time and date will be kept, 5:00 PM on Saturday,
November 5th. It was agreed to cancel the guest speaker.
Holiday Party & Dean's Penguin:
Dean Snyder pointed out that his penguin is still missing and that he hopes
for its quick and safe return before the GAG Holiday Party. The party will
be held on Saturday January 14th or 21st at Dean's
house.
GAG President's Day Weekend at Butler Cave:
Ed Kehs, Sr. reminded everyone about the President's Day Weekend Trip to
Butler Cave in Bath County, VA. Ed said there is a new stove in the
cabin and they may or may not have a shower available by President's Day
Weekend. Mike Spencer will check on adding a link to Butler on the GAG
website if it's not already up.
Call Out List:
Ed Kehs is still working on a call out list
for the grotto and has suggested putting something in the newsletter
regarding the list.

Lost River Caverns Cleanup: Dean S. reminded
everyone that the next cleanup is Saturday, Nov. 12th. We
will meet at the cave at 5:30 PM. Bring a scrub brush (long handled brushes
work best), a bucket, and a helmet with light source. Also, a pair of old
gloves may be helpful. Contact Dean Snyder for more details.
BCCS Business Meeting: Ed
Kehs, Sr. went to the BCCS Business meeting. The society currently owns
about 44 acres and 3 caves. The nearby Bobcat property has at least 8 caves
on the property. Ed wanted to make sure that everyone was aware there would
be a big celebration in 2008.
Motion to adjourn the meeting by Zoey Elizabeth Kehs
